Back on the mat!
5th September 2021

Hello yogis and yoginis
I hope you are all doing really well.
I've had a much longer pause from teaching classes than anticipated due to lots of life changes! From buying and moving into my first house, leaving my corporate job in London to start at a school in Chigwell Village, and then an unexpected global pandemic was thrown into the mix. However, I’m thrilled to say that I am officially back on the mat!
My return began with a workshop for Wanstead-based bootcamp, Eat Lift Lose, run by Brad and Chris. To see 20 students in person for the first time in a very long while was incredible - old faces as well as new!
Alongside in-person classes, things have changed significantly. I’m also now teaching online-only and hybrid. It’s pretty amazing to see digital downward dogs on the livestream, alongside the ones in the studio. It does make me giggle to see cats sitting on the yoga straps and refusing to get off! The tech at the studio in Upminster, A Fine Balance, is nothing short of outstanding; clip mics, excellent lighting and the large mac screen means I can easily spot and communicate adjustments needed, without leaving my mat or putting my glasses on!
To dip my toe back in the water, I’ve mainly been teaching cover classes at studios. It’s been a new experience to work so fluidly and I've been enjoying meeting a range of new students and teaching a mix of styles. You can find me over at:
Air Yoga - South Woodford (studio)
A Fine Balance - Upminster (online + studio)
For class alerts, keep updated via my Insta and Facebook pages.
I also have limited availability for private lessons (one to ones or small groups) for those in either the Chigwell/Buckhurst Hill/Loughton or Upminster/Hornchurch areas. If you’re interested, do get in touch.
Finally, a shout out for Emma Martin's classes, which inspired me to get back on the mat in the first place!
Bye for now.
Love and digital downward dogs,
Jayne x
